Signalling engineering; Hauerseter freight terminal

The scope of the project is to present possible solutions for establishing a freight terminal for timber and mixed transport on Hauerseter station on the Hovedbanen line. ProRail AS scope is complete management and engineering of the signalling part of the project. The engineering will be done according to the Norwegian signalling engineering process from Bane NOR.

Norwegian ERTMS-pilot Østfoldbanen Østre linje

The overall project scope was to establish the first ERTMS-line in Norway on behalf of Jernbaneverket; including a completely new signalling system; traffic management system; adaption of operational rules; maintenance preparations and training. ProRail AS scope was project management from contract award until the approval of the SRS; including Norwegian functionality (December 2012). After JBV approval of the SRS; the scope was project management responsibility for all activities in Norway and necessary participation in the activities; i.e.: Complete site management scope; follow up of installation sub-contractor NJD AS; part of the test teams doing start-up and function control of the sub-systems; commissioning responsibility for the axle counter system and the hand held terminal system; establishing maintenance requirements; safety responsibility and test leader onboard for all test and commissioning activities on site. After commissioning in August 2015; the ProRail AS scope was follow up of system performance and issues; establishing operational work arounds and participation in installation; test and commissioning of updates of the system with Jernbaneverket approved “Sluttkontrollør F”.

Ombygging Orstad sidespor og klepp

Installation; post installation check out and test of temporary changes in existing signalling installation during SAT of new class-B signalling system for the double track line Sandnes-Stavanger. The activities were performed in two phases by personnel approved by Bane NOR as “Sikkerhetskontrollør signal” and “Sluttkontrollør F”.

Test of level crossing indications; Ganddal godsterminal

Installation; post installation check out and test of curcuits for status indication of the level crossings on Ganddal freight terminal in the VICOS TMS/CTC-system. The activities were performed with personnel certified by Bane NOR as “Sikkerhetskontrollør signal” og “Sluttkontrollør F”.

Gevingåsen new signalling system

New tunnel “Gevingåsen” on Nordlandsbanen. Site management during test phase of the project. Test (function control) of the signalling system with Jernbaneverket certified “Sluttkontrollør F”.

Signalling Hjuksebø-Notodden; Tinnosbanen

Assistant Project Manager for signalling of the line Hjuksebø-Notodden. Included installation of Siemens axle counter system; FATC and reconfiguration of the NSI-63 relay interlocking installations for centralized traffic control. Hjuksebø-Notodden. Scope of work was follow up of installation contractor NJD AS; approval process towards “Statens Jernbanetilsyn”; risk analysis and the RAMS-process.

Installation of temporary signalling Sandnes-Stavanger

Site management; installation; installation check out and function control of temporary signalling installations as preparations for the commissioning of the new class-B signalling system on the double track section Sandnes-Stavanger on the Sørlandsbanen line. The work was done in two separate phases by personnel certified as “Sikkerhetskontrollør signal” and “Sluttkontrollør F” by Jernbaneverket.

ERTMS support team ØØL

ERTMS on call support service as part of the Jernbaneverket 1. and 2. line signalling support for the ERTMS installations on Østfoldbanen Østre linje the first year after commissioning of the Norwegian ERTMS Pilot. Included telephone support during failures of the system and also on site emergency repair services during more severe failures.
Part of the scope was to represent Bombardier during maintenance follow up meetings and user group meetings with train operator personnel and dispatchers.
In 2018 the scope included development and execution of 3 training courses in the Bombardier Interflo 450 system for signalling personnel from Jernbaneverket; both signalling technicians; test leaders and system responsible’s.
