Site management and project engineer on behalf of Jernbaneverket on signalling of the new double track section on the Vestfoldbanen line between Holm and Nykirke. The project was part of the Norwegian class-B signalling frame agreement SignAn. Scope of work included follow up of signalling system supplier Thales AS and installation subcontractors. The scope also included follow up of Bombardier Transportation during modifications of the existing EBILock interlocking; including subcontractor NJD AS. Installation check out and function control during some phases in the project was also part of the scope. All work was done by personnel certified by Jernbaneverket as “Sluttkontrollør F”.
Site Manager nationwide modifications of the ATC-system
Site management on behalf of Jernbaneverket for the nationwide modifications of the Norwegian legacy ATP-system ATC (“Kryssingbarriere”). The scope of work also included participation during several shutdowns all over Norway and function control of the affected signalling systems. Follow up of multiple installation contractors were a daily part of the project. Also some engineering tasks were included during periods with lack of resources within the client organization.
Tender for the Norwegian ERTMS-pilot Østfoldbanen Østre linje
Part of the winning Bombardier Transportation core bid team during the tender process and negotiations with Jernbaneverket for the Norwegian ERTMS-pilot. Main focus area for ProRail AS in the bid team was Project Management and planning/subcontracting of installation services.
Tender for the Danish ERTMS-program “Fjernbane”
Review of tender documentation for installation subcontractors and the roll out process. Part of Bombardier Transportation extended bid team during BAFO phase of the tender.
Tender for the Norwegian National Implementation of ERTMS
Part of Bombardier Transportation core bid team during the tender process and negotiations with Bane NOR for the Norwegian National Implementation of ERTMS. ProRail AS was responsible for the roll-out planning; installation; migration and test part of the trackside tender. Participated also in the track-side commissioning part and in the training part of both trackside and onboard.
Important focus areas were lessons learned from the Norwegian ERTMS Pilot; logistics for deliveries to installation subcontractors; negotiations with installation subcontractors and electronic system for follow up of installation check lists; test records and related documentation.
Tender for SignAn – class B signaling systems
SignAn was a tender for a frame agreement for delivery of class B signalling systems to Jernbaneverket. ProRail AS participated in the Bombardier Transportation bid team. Scope of work was roll out planning; selection of installation subcontractors and material planning for outdoor objects. The tender process resulted in a contract for Bombardier as the backup contractor for the winning tenderer. Bombardier also ended up delivering the FATC-system for the frame agreement.
Site management signalling JBT-91 Ski station
First contract including signalling works for the Norwegian part of the Swedish company InfraNord AB after establishing business in Norway. As the company had no signalling personnel certified in Norway; ProRail AS was contracted for site management of the signalling part of the project; installation activities inside the technical building and installation check out and function control of the NSI-63 relay interlocking at Ski station on the Østfoldbanen line. The modifications of Ski station were done during several shutdowns and commissioning’s. The project also included establishment of a new shunting area/ depot area for commuter trains starting and ending at Ski station.
Site management Thales; Ski station and Follobanen
Site management on behalf of Thales during installation of the new class-B signalling system as part of the SignAn frame agreement. First phase was a rebuild of the NSI-63 relay interlocking at Ski station. Second phase is installation of the new computer based Thales interlocking on Ski station. Third phase is installation of the new Thales interlocking on the new double track Follobanen line; with planned commissioning in 2022. Follow up of installation contractors NJD AS and NRC Rail AS; planning; clarifications and coordination towards Bane NOR and the other contractors are main focus areas. The ProRail AS scope also includes sample based installation check out.
Site management/quality control metro Nationaltheateret-Majorstua
Site management and installation check out of signalling trackside objects during rebuild of the metro signalling system in the tunnel between Nationaltheateret and Majorstua stations.
Quotation for signalling works Kvam station; Dovrebanen
Participation in the bid team for the total delivery of rebuild of Kvam station. ProRail scope was the signalling part of the bid.
