Bane NOR has signed an agreement with ProRail on the hiring of a construction manager for the signalling discipline on the Arna-Bergen line, including the Ulriken tunnel. The line is to be equipped with a new Thales class B signalling system.
The first part of the assignment is to be the construction manager for the rebuild of the Tunestveit siding on the part of the line between Trengereid and Arna, where the supervision of the siding will be moved from Arna to Trengereid. The assignment scope includes the following up of the contractors progress and delivered quality, managing construction meetings, follow-up of materials, checklists and documentation and assisting during test and commissioning.
Bergen station and freight terminal will be rebuilt, and as preparations track 85 will be commissioned to be used by freight trains during shunting. Our construction manager will assist the construction manager for Bergen station with the execution of this task.

Today the ERTMS Testlab on Campus Nyland was opened. At the same time the first milestone of the Norwegian ERTMS Programme that includes permanent physical deliveries was marked.
Bane NOR’s Campus Nyland will be a technical hub for the new Norwegian ERTMS system. Large parts of all training and testing of the new system will be done on Campus Nyland. The ERTMS Testlab is an important part of Campus Nyland and will compress deliveries from all system suppliers of the ERTMS Programme – Signalling System, TMS, Onboard, GSM-R and fixed transmission network (FTN). It is so far phase 1 of the Signalling System that has been installed, together with GSM-R and FTN. The plan is to perform all acceptance testing of the new signalling system and large parts of the integration testing between the different system suppliers in the ERTMS Testlab.
ProRail AS has on behalf of Bane NOR had the responsibility for subproject management for the ERTMS Testlab during engineering, installation and testing of the system.

Baneservice has entered into an agreement with ProRail on assistance with F-control on Oslo S during the summer’s closing of the Østfold line. ProRail will assist with functional control of signals, track fields, point machines etc.

Infranord Norge AS will build the Infrastructure for the entrance of the new Follo Line on Oslo S. The contract is an EPC contract and covers all railway technical disciplines.
Infranord has signed an agreement with ProRail on total responsibility for the planning and execution of the functional control for the included rebuild of the signalling system at Oslo Central station (Oslo S). The assignment will be performed by Bane NOR certified testers (“Sluttkontrollør F”).

Bane NOR has signed an agreement with ProRail to hire a construction manager for the rebuild of the signalling system on Drammen – Kobbervikdalen.
The ProRail scope includes:
• Assist with establishing and reviewing of RFQ’s, as well as assist with/follow up the project’s phase planning.
• Supervise and control the performance and the deliveries of the contractors during the installation phase.
• Ensure correct document flow with sufficient level of quality for all phases of the project.
• Ensure correct level of quality of testing and commissioning activities of the signalling system before putting the system into operation after the rebuild.

The “Vestfoldbanen” project of Bane NOR has entered into a frame agreement with ProRail AS on the hiring of personnel for assignments in railway technology.
The agreement comprises possible call-offs within three categories:
A – Planning and coordination of contracts and activities in out of commission periods
B – Assistance for review / quality assurance and follow-up of railway engineering, including RFQ’s.
C – Site manager/Construction manager for the different railway technical disciplines.

Bane NOR has signed an agreement with ProRail to hire a sub-project manager on Thales projects. The project has the task of upgrading software to a newer version of the Thales signalling systems that have already been commissioned. The scope of the assignment includes planning activities on site, responsibility for overseeing HSE and coordination of resources such as:
• Local signalling resources for access to technical rooms
• Technicians from Thales to carry out the modifications
• Commissioning managers (“Sluttkontrollører”)
Additional included tasks are:
• Ordering track possessions for the commissioning work
• Reviewing of technical documents
• Assist the project manager with documents
• BaneNOR’s signalling processes
• Follow-up of checklists
Planned signalling systems to be updated are Sandnes-Stavanger, Høvik station and Langset-Kleverud.

Multiconsult has been contracted by Bane NOR on detailed technical engineering for Holmen freight terminal near Drammen station. The planned project is an extension of the existing Holmen freight terminal, on the “Drammenbanen” line.
ProRail has been contracted by Multiconsult to lead and perform the signalling engineering and take responsibility for the work process and the approval process for the signalling discipline.
