ERTMS National implementation will install a test lab (localized at Nyland in Oslo) and a test line (Roa-Hønefoss) for testing of the new ERTMS Signalling System before the countrywide rollout. The test lab will comprise deliveries from all of the three system suppliers of the new TMS, ERTMS onboard equipment in trains and the new Signalling System including ETCS and trackside equipment.
ProRail AS today signed a call-off from Bane NOR on subproject management for follow up of the suppliers that will be installing equipment in the test lab and on the test line. The assignment will also include planning and general assistance to the Bane NOR Test Manager in the Norwegian ERTMS Programme. The assignment has a duration of 2 years with optional 2 extra years.
